viastore is once again demonstrating its expertise in four international projects, for example in the construction of a new logistics center for a leading industrial company.

Intralogistics specialist viastore is once again demonstrating its expertise in consulting, planning, implementing and improving storage and material flow systems as well as in corresponding software in four international projects: A well-known food company has commissioned viastore Spain to implement its automated frozen storage warehouse. The facility is being built as part of an expansion of the company’s transport center in the province of Zaragoza in north-eastern Spain. Designed as a rack-supported structure, this unit-load warehouse offers space for 7,500 Euro pallets, which are transported by three automated storage/retrieval systems (AS/RS) of type viapal. Double and triple-depth storage ensure optimal allocation of storage resources and maximum space utilization. The new system will help to secure the company’s future growth and reduce operating expenses. Completion is scheduled for mid-2019.

In addition, the intralogistics expert is implementing a new distribution center for spare parts in the north of Madrid, which will be put into operation at the end of the year. “A leading industrial company has entrusted us with this pilot project with the option of a subsequent worldwide rollout,” says César Briones, CEO of viastore Spain. The customer thus wants to centralize their locations in order to be able to accept more orders and achieve competitive advantages. The solution consists of a double-depth automated mini-load system with space to accommodate 9,000 plastic boxes measuring 600x400 mm. Here, the high-performance viaspeed AS/RS will ensure high throughput rates and low costs. The intuitive-to-use viadat warehouse and material flow software will make for efficient and flexible order picking and consolidation of goods.

In France, viastore developed and implemented a new automated storage system for a company that sells medical equipment and pharmaceuticals. This facility ensures high reliability and flexibility, having automated supplies of materials for production. Specifically, it is a double-depth mini-load system with space for almost 11,000 plastic containers. The viaspeed XL AS/RS takes care of storage, retrieval and relocation processes. The viadat warehouse management software controls and manages the facility and ensures maximum efficiency. “Our solution guarantees the best possible use of available space and significantly increases storage capacities. Thanks to this solution, the company can deliver all orders received before 6 pm within 24 hours,” says Jean-David Attal, CEO of viastore France, clearly pleased.

Moreover, for an Alsace-based international company specializing in pumps, turbines, compressors, heat exchangers and fueling systems, viastore has supplied an automated mini-load system and has integrated it into the existing building. Two viaspeed XL AS/RS reliably transport over 1,700 trays of two different sizes. The intralogistics system is helping to secure the company’s future growth.
